Tony Jr.'s Clams Casino

24 medium clams
8-12 slices bacon
Breadcrumbs
Butter

If you can shuck raw clams then do it, otherwise steam the clams until they pop open then place them(clam and shells) in ice water. Set aside.

Fry up bacon, let it cool, then crumble

Melt butter and mix with breadcrumbs, add enough breadcrumbs to make it thick, not too dry and not too watery.

Add crumbled bacon to breadcrumb mixture, mixing well

Drain clams

Remove clams from shells, do not discard shells

Put breadcrumb mixture and clams together to form a oval or ball shape, then place into each shell

Add enough mixture to fill shell

Fill as many clams as you can with the mixture

Place filled clams onto a cookie sheet or oven safe dish, using empty shells upside down to hold the filled shells in place.

Broil till lightly browned, usually 5-10 minutes

Remove from oven and serve
