The Lowcountry Anglers Fishing Club

.: About Us :.

The Lowcountry Anglers Fishing Club was started in 1995 with only a few members, and now has grown to a full fledged club with over 40 members.

We are primarily an inshore fishing club located in Charleston, South Carolina. We fish such places as The Cooper River, The Wando River, Charleston Harbor, Shipyard Creek, James Island, John's Island, Barrier Islands, Stono River, Edisto, and Kiawah to name a few.

We fish mostly for Red Drum, Trout, Sheepshead, Flounder, and occasionally Black Drum, Bluefish, and Spadefish.

We have monthly In-club Tournaments with prizes and points awarded which at the end of the year get tallied up and the angler with the most points recieves a Lowcountry Anglers "Angler of the Year" Award.

The Lowcountry Anglers fishing club also has one public tournament per year. Our Captain's meeting features such things as a live band, food, drinks, silent auction, and a raffle for many very nice prizes like gift certificates, coolers, fishing rod racks and stands, fishing rods, reels, and Jim Booth prints. All proceeds help fund charities across the lowcountry.
